Firmware

Manual firmware updates for Crayonic hardware wallets. For enterprise deployments these are pushed automatically by the Crayonic Agent via Crayonic Device Manager.

Recommended: Crayonic Firmware Manager

Download and launch Crayonic Firmware Manager (see below).
Connect your Badge to the PC via USB.
The app detects the device and offers the latest compatible build — click Install and follow the on-screen prompts.
If it doesn't find a matching build automatically (e.g. a release not yet published to the update channel), click Install from local file… and point it at a .zip from the table above — the app checks it's the right product and hardware generation for your Badge before installing.

If that doesn't work: manual USB update

Download the Stable zip that matches your Badge's hardware version from the table above and unzip it to any folder on your PC.
Inside the unzipped folder, double-click the file named like APP_<firmware version>+<commit hash>_<hardware version>_USB.bat. If several variants are listed, pick the one whose hardware number matches your Badge.
A console window will open and apply the firmware update over USB. Leave the Badge plugged in until the console reports success.
When the update finishes, close the window — the new firmware is ready to use.

Crayonic KeyVault

Update steps

Connect the KeyVault to a Windows 10+ PC via USB.
Hold the button and select Update Firmware in the device menu (only visible while USB-connected).
Unzip the archive and run update.bat.
A Factory Reset is suggested afterwards; if biometrics fail it is required. A reset deletes all credentials, so recover them via Crayonic Credential Manager if they are centrally managed.

If that doesn't work: manual USB update

End-point Tools

Crayonic Agent

Windows service that manages Crayonic devices on the endpoint, pushes firmware updates, logs security events, and integrates with Crayonic Device Manager.

Crayonic Credential Provider

Badge sign-in tiles for the Windows sign-in screen. The credential provider comes with the Crayonic Agent; only the Local-User demo is offered separately.

Install by running the bundled .bat; the README inside the archive shows how to configure a local user for the demonstration.

Obsolete

The standalone Domain Credential Provider (CrayonicCredentialProviderEN.zip) is no longer offered: the Crayonic Agent includes the credential provider. See Badge Sign-in Setup.

Management & Integration

Legacy Credential Manager (desktop)

The Windows desktop version of Crayonic Credential Manager. Superseded by the web-based Crayonic Credential Manager, which is server-hosted and requires no local download. The legacy desktop build remains available for environments that have not migrated yet.

PKCS11

PKCS#11 cryptographic module and yubico-piv-tool command-line utilities for accessing the PIV applet on Crayonic wallets from any application that speaks the standard PKCS#11 interface — SSH, VPN, browsers, e-mail, and code-signing tools. Bundles the 64-bit and 32-bit Windows builds.
